Overall, our nation state is currently is and has been working well. The fact that there is only three members within out groups helps out a lot. I really like the Nation-State game and I think that our nation is pretty aggressive. In reality, Sagar is in charge of most of our attack strategies. We have a communism based order called Reach and is based on past Russian structures and China as well. Also we are just making rules that follow are interest and are also based on sports/gaming.The game initially was fun but lately is seems kind of burnt out. I understand the purpose of the game but I think it needs some changes so it can be fun in a 16 week semester:)
The Nation state game in my mind has been a success. Dividing us into our own individual nations has allowed us to take the role of being the government, and deciding what we think is the best option for our people. For us, communism was our route. It created a way in which simplicity and order could be used, along with the face that the government had the sole controlling power over the nation.
The Nation state game specifically to do with attacking and law points is a good way for us to account for our "resources" and being able to create the effect of what happens if your defense is not up and you attack.
Our Group was proactive, we always took the initiative and wanted to attack first, or make the choices. We wanted to follow similar guidelines that the Chinese do in the present time. We are authoritative and make sure we are secure defensively and have order in our states.
We have always created an alliance in some city-states in order to be together in times of war or need. If one of us needs something, we can always turn to the other in order to get resources or help in battle. However now we must team up in order to defeat Andrew and his infinite army.

The Order of Reach Finds that its citizens are incapable of making correct and lawful decisions alone. Thankfully, Reach has set up a thriving system following a well constructed constitution that gives citizens a comfortable lifestyle;while following a obvious guideline in order to keep Reach competitive in industry, war, and social aspects. With a basic communistic approach Reach is orderly and its citizens are no longer idle.
Bill of Rights
1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rents or income from property to the government for the use of infrastructure upkeep.
2. Heavy progressive income tax will be levied upon all citizens equally. This will be used to upkeep reach security (social security), educational costs, higher-education opportunities including trade schools, and basic living amenities.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.Primarily of property and large sums of money. This will allow citizens to have a similar social-economical background and/or future opportunities. Property and large sums of income will be subject to a heavy tax or given strictly to the government for reassortment via the head of treasury.
4. All property/ goods/ raw materials of emigrants or rebels will be confiscated and put toward the order of reach. Rebels and emigrants will be escorted outside the walls or put to death upon the suggestion of Reach.
5. The sole bank will hold a monopoly and centralization of credit is at the sole discretion of Reach for all uses found appropriate. Loans, allowances, and taxes will be deposited and withdrawn via Reach Bank. Any other bank system used will hold a penalty.
6. The Order of Reach will be in control and have centralized power of all forms of transportation.
7. Reach will own majority shares of any companies of industry. Also the government will
own all factories and instruments of industry including workers. Therefore, Reach is solely in charge of citizens pay, retirement, and possible vacations. Any form of treason, or vile acts against reach will void any citizens future pay or comfort.
8. All citizens will labor equally, including industrial armies, and armies primary used for defense,offense and the internal affairs of Reach.
9. Gradual combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries will occur until there is no longer a distinction between town and country. This will encourage a more equally spread population over the Order.
10. Free education for all children within the Reach educational system. Private education must be certified by Reach and abolition of child labor will be enacted immediately. A combination of education with industrial production may be taught only via trade school with pay to student determined by Reach
11. All arms will be owned and regulated by Reach. Guns, weapons, or raw materials to make "objects of war" are prohibited to citizens for ownership unless, participation in the militia (current or past, if in good standing).
The Hierarchy of Teams!Will Ferrell Overall, the Sports/Gaming Blog was really chill. The remaining team members in our group all worked equally and all deserve high ratings (10's). The group didn't really have any slackers and if we did they dropped or are no longer in the group. Our group "just did it"! Honestly, having a small group made things a lot easier when creating the blog and communicating. Just having common sense and following basic social etiquette helps within a group.

Five Suggestions
1. trade information ( facebook, telephone,& e-mail)
2. text and communicate with each other weekly
3. be willing to help out fellow team members and ask for help (when needed)
4. bring a computer to work on group assignments in class ( use in class time wisely)
Future Construction Plans projected income from the future arena
$556 million cash infusion to region during building.
$25 million annual regional infusion.
$2.3 million annual increase in municipal funds during build.
$770,000 annual increase in municipal funds during operation
Currently there is a lot of buzz surrounding the building of a 391 million dollar arena ! With the city paying for 255.5 million of the costs. Seriously, the amount of city funding is more than illustrated on the graph! It is actually a majority of the funding. Of course, who doesn't like to watch a good game of Basketball; but to invest so much money into a team that has not played well in a while seems somewhat wasteful. You wouldn't give a employee who sucks a bonus, let alone a multimillion dollar arena.
Should the population of Sacramento pay for these costs via taxation? I hope the future projected revenue is accurate so that the new arena makes income and the Kings team improves so tickets are bought. I hope this new arena allows the people of Sacramento to keep enjoying our team while making a profit.
After the city council vote on March 6 the Kings are here to stay, for 30 more years anyway! With how much the kings are loved in our area it is no wonder the city council voted to keep the Kings here. With a 7-2 vote for the new arena's financial plan construction will begin next spring. Not only will the construction of the arena be creating much needed jobs in this economical drought but a strong sense of pride in our region. You can see the article here.
On March 6th, after around three hours of deliberation, the City Council Voted 7-2 in Favor of going through with funding plans to create a new Sports and Entertainment Complex in Downtown Sacramento, with the estimated completion date to be for the 2015-2016 NBA season. With this motion, it allows not only the Sacramento Kings to stay, but the new arena also allows for a host of new entertainment shows such as disney on ice, musicians, and other events.
The location will be in downtown sacramento, near the rail yards. It will be approximately 15 minutes closer than the current I-5 location. The arena is price tagged at close to 391 million, with many different parties pitching in to help fund it.
