FBI looking at Auburn guard for alleged point shaving

Federal Authorities are investigating Auburn Point Guard Verez Ward after he allegedly point shaved in at least two games. For those who do not know, point shaving is deliberately keeping the score of a game down, in order to keep the point spread. This then corresponds with bets made at places such as casinos, which can lead to millions of dollars being made or lost.
Federal Officials as well as the NCAA committee are looking into this and are "very concerned." Point Shaving does not only violate NCAA rules, but is also a federal offense, which could lead to some very harsh consequences for Ward. He had not even played the final three games of the season, and is being put under the scope as officials come up with a decision. Auburn University as well as the NCAA can only wait and see, as the FBI will tell NCAA what there findings show.
As for now, if Varez Ward is found guilty he can certainly kiss his college career goodbye, and only hope that he does not receive jail time if he is indeed responsible for it.
