Mutated Trout Raise New Concern Near Mine Sites

In Southern Idaho, the J.R. Simplot Companies operations have polluted the nearby creeks, causing the mutation of fish in the creek. Some grow two heads, while others had fin, egg, and other physical deformities. Essentially they are claiming that there Selenium amount that they are putting into the creek is ok, even though it clearly exceeds the recommended regulated amount. The E.P.A is looking into this law, and is reviewing federal rules regarding the selenium. The E.P.A. has to realize that even though it may just be a creek, it is harming the wildlife. Plus, who knows who has access to the creek; maybe humans travel there , and the high concentration could hurt us too. The E.P.A. has to crack down and keep the levels to a minimum, or do not allow any selenium at all in the creeks for safety.
