NJ tries to overturn federal ban on sports betting
In an article on DelawareOnline found here that on on February 12, 2014, New Jersey filed an appeal in an effort to overturn the federal ban of sport betting in all but four states. Those four states are protected by a period before 1991 where the states had to make a decision if they wanted to make it legal in their state to allow betting on sports, and New Jersey is not one of them. They failed to act in the window given to them some years ago. But now, with much support from political figures in NJ, the states is fighting to legalize sport betting. Its main argument is that the federal policy does not prohibit individuals from betting, but rather makes it illegal for governmental bodies to license or authorize sports wagering activity. Though there is much political backing for this appeal, there is no guarantee the Supreme Court will even consider the appeal. Now, the waiting game has begun!

I think feds should just allow any state who wishes to engage in sports betting. We all know that the state is going to make money off allowing businesses to operate sports gambling. Its going to generate jobs along with bunch other benefits. I really hated driving to Reno Nevada to bet on football the one and only time that i did and never again.
