Arrests Made in Soccer Game Fixing.
Admir Suljic a former soccer player from Slovenia was arrested last Thursday. He is believed to be one of the men who was a go between for "the boss"(Tan Seet Eng) and soccer players to get them to manipulate games and illicit gambling . There are currently 150 people being investigated for match fixing. I wonder who else is involved in this. For this operation to be so successful for so long there are sure to be referees, players, coaches, other staff members of organizations involved. Supposedly Tan is cooperating with the Singapore police to help with their investigation. There are several different agencies and governments working together on this scandal, Singapore, Italy, Malaysia, Milan, police departments and Interpol to name a few. I am so glad that I do not bet on sports. It goes to show you cheaters never prosper.

Cheating is wrong, but I feel like its inevitable. It might not be happening all the time, but generally in this day and age money is how everything works. People almost need to cheat to make any money at all at something, although it's amazing how hard it is to cheat, cheating is almost a feat in itself.
things like this happen everyday in every sport there is, wether it b football or even cricket there is always someone tryn to fix the out come of the game. so it shows u it sometimes pays to know the right ppl so u can make money and a living off of fixing games but u can lose alot at the same time.
I believe that fixing of any sports game should be a punishable crime because it not only takes the fun out of the game but makes the sport itself useless. In addition to that we pay athletes so much money and give them so much praise for there athletic ability, it's totally wrong and immoral
This does not surprise me at all. I think that this is going on in other fields other than soccer. This to me is the first "bust" if you will of fixing sports of many to come.
This is really sad to read about. I played soccer for many many years of my life and to read about professionals that throw games just sucks. People are really dedicated to watching the sport they love, and when it comes down to gambling with peoples money it will definitely not work out in the end! I don't understand how people think sometimes or if they even give thought to the consequences that can come from their actions. I'm glad they are getting caught up and interrogated because this is disrespectful to every sport there out there.
I hope that they figure out everyone that is a part of this scandal. I also agree with Zac that it probably isn't the only sport where this is happening. It is immoral and completely ruins the sport of it.
