S.O.D. - United Forces

Our nation game is just that, a game. I don't want to be a hater but when this project was first introduced i imagined an entirely different thing. Something more real. The trading of goods and building assets is great but i imagined sitting with my nation and discussing a world we want to live in. Making laws and policies and building off our constitution. that is how we started then it turned into this fantasy game with robots and red buttons. Don't get me wrong it has been fun but...not educational. Not to be redundant but we started the game too late. the song you just rocked out to was my vision of our nation's anthem. UNITED FORCES!

NationState Game - Go Stephanitia !

After the first week of the NationState group activity, with ups and downs, I'd say I like the group activity so far, even though it's still in the process of changing for the good (or the bad) in some areas.

Our nation "Stephanitia" went to war quite early as we had hoped to gain a lot from it, such as resources, in order to grow and make Stephanitia a better place. It may have seen as an aggressive move to start off but nevertheless we chose this path...we lost. Therefore we had to be reactive and change the route we have to go instead of going with the plans we followed before the loss of the war. We were somewhat able to recover from it and decided to trade goods in order to build up again, creating some income and also construct buildings.

The problem we face at the moment is obtaining resources from other nations or the city states. We don't have enough resources to trade for other types of resources nor do we have enough money to buy them. In our current situation I believe that decreasing the costs for obtaining resources or construction would make it easier for nations like us to stand up again, instead of digging them further down.

We do not use any real world countries as an example of what we want Stephanitia to be. What we want Stephanitia to be is where "Pursuit of Happiness" takes place and is a priority, and also be the #1 in competitive sports.

Go Stephanitia !

"STEPAHANITAI-WE WILL BE BACK!"

As for the country of Stepahanitai we are hanging tough and "WE WILL BE BACK."  We started off going to war with another country and lost.  That probably wasn't a good idea, but it felt right at the time.  Even though it cost us $9000.00 to go to war we still own a College and small town, so we are not completely divested.  I think next time we will not rush into going to war and we have allied with a few other countries to have a better strategy in our survival.  I know if we would of won our war, we probably would of been hit with a natural disaster and lost whatever we had plundered.  I really didn't understand everything involved at first in the game, but I am now realizing that you need some kind of strategy in developing your country.  We are not really modeling our country after any nations in the real world but that could change from week to week.  My only suggestion about the game is that you might be given more resources like coal, steel, wine, etc. because everything is so expensive to buy to develop your country.  In the country of Stepahanitai we want to develop a thriving economy where everyone has a good job and an excellent education. Where people are friendly and the "Pursuit Of Happiness" is happening.  Above all, we as the Country Of Stepahanitai want to attract all kinds of people from different nations to visit us.  I'm really digging this game and can not wait for next week to see how we can develope our country.

KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE PRIZE

Its only OK to invade another country when that country has something to offer our country. If we are able to step in and assure whatever that country has of value goes it us then bombs away. Be it oil, gold, or more soldiers to invade a nearby country that has oil or gold. It is also only OK to invade a country if you really really want to. An invading country should also wait for a good oppurtunity. Rebels may rise against their current leader and that leader may not want to give up power. The country will go into a civil war and its up to the invading country to decide which side is the most benificial to the invading countries needs. In an uprising situation the invading country can also earn bonus points if they pick the side their general public sympathises with. Sympathy for the most benificial side can be created through the media. i'll wrap this up... If you want to invade another country create a good reason your population can understand and support and keep your eyes on the prize!

"AMERICA IS A FORCE TO BE RECKEN WITH!"

I think what we and other countries are doing over in Libya is a good thing.  On the other hand, the United States of America is billions of dollars in debt.  I think anytime a President or Dictator of a country starts slaughtering it's own people, you need to step in with military force.  We have dealt with this problem in the past with Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein, and now Colonel Gaddafi.  When you have leaders of foreign countries murdering, raping, cutting communications and electricity, and just pillaging the country, something has to be done.  I also think we as a nation are morally committed to helping other nations but sometimes I think we ought to be concern with our economy, the people who are going hungry, and the homeless population in the United States before we are gun ho to go to war.  We will see if the other countries in the United Nations will take over this war and were not stuck with the bill as well as being the dominate force against Libya.  I think now that we are there we need to definitely make sure that Colonel Gaddafi is taken out of power by whatever means necessary.  If the Country of Stepahanitai was in this war right now we would have already snipped Colonel Gaddafi's ass.  Enjoy the videos and I must say that "Tomahawk Missiles" are so amazing and yet so destructive.

Our population of naturally gifted athlletic attractive intelligent citizens provides the best of the best to suit up and SERVE our home feild, our land, Stephanitai. Offense wins games but DEFENSE wins championships. Aggresive Offensive Military Action will not be taken against any opponent. Our military will stay out of foriegn affairs. We will battle on the AWAY feild only if our opponent is threatening our great land. Our military protects our Home turf. We are the police and fire departments. Military service is rerquired for citizenship. ...and Before all you hippies get your undies in a bundle our military is not just for heros and blowin shit up. Thats just the coolest most honorable part. There are hundreds of jobs covering the "service" in "Military Service". Our military provides social services to the young and old, mentoring and fostering our citizens. You can even travel the world in our TeamWork Corps and help the poorest of countries around the globe. We build and construct our great cities and roads. Service includes scientific reasearch and development. If you should choose to violate any rules and regulations of the land penalties range from fines to deportation. Fines for most non-violent crimes. Criminals that commit more severe crimes, such that are violent or cause property damage, will be punished to undesireable community service like garbage hauling or a human scientific research subject. Crimes like murder and rape or really bad things are punishable by deportation, basically a death sentence as you will be thrown out of our country and left to fend for yourself.
