Gary Carter to most known as the kid passes away at 57. He was
traded 4 for 1 from Montréal to queens and was considered the savior of the
Mets. He led the Mets to their first world series in 68 years. He was always considers
a bright energetic person to be around. And was conducted into the hall of fame
in 2003, six years after his retirement. I remember growing up how my own
father use to tell my brothers and I to be more like the kid, to never give up and
to keep a positive outlook even when we lost the game. This goes along with our
motto of just do it in my eyes, not only because he is considered one of the
greats but also because he did worked hard and kept a good attitude, and
nothing says just do it then being the best and being loved and respected.

I never played as a catcher in baseball, but I always had respect for them because I cant stay in that crouched position for very long or catch a ball going 98mph. My condolences to the family of Gary "The Kid" Carter, R.I.P.
