Former fed says lets legalize drugs

Terry Nelson a 32 yr veteran of border patrol, customs, and homeland security is now the face of legalizing and controling illegal drugs. This man dedicated his career to fighting the war on drugs and through experience realizes the harm it causes in our country and worldwide. He believes this has been a total policy failure and that drugs are too dangerous too be contoled by criminals. Feds need to step in and take control of this dangerous market. It is in his opinion that " A system of regulation, rather than prohibition is a less harmful, more ethical, and more reasonable public policy approach." The regulation will create an annual revenue of $76 billion and spare thousands of lives globally. This money is more than enough to pay for medical care of people with addictions. " Drugs dont cause crimes prohibition causes crimes." This is deffinately a federal issue and the governments approach to this issue has deffinately been a failure and must be revised. Check this out.

True that my good man. Legalizing narcotics goes a long way towards getting rid of black market shady entreprenurial schemes. What needs to come out of the upcomiong voting is a resounding yes from the californian public. Should we decide to legalize Tetrahydracannabinol, not only could we begin to make money off of it's sales but we could also reap the rewards of weaker black market... Imagine all the money that goes into Marijuana going into the state government instead of mexican and asian mafias. Wow, what a concept. Wait, didn'/t we already go through this prohobibition bullshit? hmmmm...

This is a very good blog because this issue has been one of Americas biggest problems and biggest issue of what's ping on today. I beleive that since there is so
much else going on in the world today with the deficit and the war that is goin on in Iraq. There needs to be some kind of solution to the use of drugs and the selling of drugs in America today.

I think that making drugs legal would definatly be a good thing. In places like holland people are resposible enough to make their own decisions about drugs. Also like alcohol it should for sure be controlled.
